Religious candles can be found in most cities, but religious candles in the grocery store are So El Paso! Where else in the world, do they have a full display 4 feet wide by 6 feet high of religious candles! AND, if you wait long enough, they go on sale. How crazy is it that you walk into your neighborhood Albertson’s or national chain Walgreen's, look up at the aisle markers and see:
Cleaners
Dish Detergents
Religious Candles
I’m not Catholic, so I’m not sure what the big draw is, but evidently the marketing gurus have drawn some successful conclusion that these babies sell! How else does one item get such top billing on an aisle marker. Once again, not good, not bad, just So El Paso!
